POSITION CLASSIFICATION
For Our Future recognizes a staff bargaining unit, affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) 2304, a labor union. This position is NOT included in the For Our Future bargaining unit.

JOB SUMMARY
For Our Future Action Fund seeks a Data Coordinator to play a key role in supporting For Our Future's national data team. We are looking for campaign experts interested in a professional opportunity to learn and develop new data skills while working to support the electoral and grassroots programs run in all of For Our Future's states. For Our Future is proud to run a data-driven program, and this is made possible by our dynamic and mission-driven data team helping to drive our program nationwide. The Data Coordinator shall serve as the point person for extracting, transforming and loading field data across voter contact platforms, assist in compliance reporting, and work with the data team to develop materials and curricula for trainings directed at technical and non-technical audiences. This role will also help states leverage organizational data to advance progressive change, and empower teams that build power, and contribute to winning elections.

This position is anticipated to run through at least November 28, 2024.
Essential Functions
    • Reviewing voter contact materials; literature, mail, and scripts
    • Reviewing digital content for editing and ensuring technical compliance
    • Shepherding voter contact materials and other outward facing content through an internal approval process
    • Working with an external and/or internal legal team to ensure legal compliance on all materials
    • Maintaining a database of voter contact materials specifics, statuses and scoring
    • Producing voter contact materials, as needed
    • Producing and maintaining reports that track each state's voter contact work and progress to goal
    • Maintaining records of each state's program's funding type and overall legal scoring make-up for reporting purposes
    • Collaborating with state staff to ensure voter contact materials are administered smoothly
    • Implementing quality control and technical assistance for state programs
    • Working with state staff to ensure that voter contact materials are executed in a culturally competent fashion
    • Assist with training and staff development, including leading the implementation of training materials in states
    • Working with National Organizing Director on other program tasks as assigned
    • Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
Skills and Qualifications
    • At least 2-3 years working in a competitive field experience; electoral campaigns, progressive politics or advocacy
    • Demonstrated knowledge of effective and successful electoral plans, including targeting, voter contact, GOTV and best practices with each.
    • Exceptional communications skills and extraordinary attention to detail
    • Proficiency with Google and Microsoft platforms, in particular Google Slides/Powerpoint and Google Sheets/Excel
    • Proficiency in VoteBuilder/VAN
    • Flexibility and a willingness to take on new tasks and work long hours as needed
    • Experience working on projects in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience working for a community-based nonprofit organization a plus
    • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to successfully relate to voters and volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds.

Expected Hours of Work
    • Normal hours of business are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time Monday through Friday, however, employees may be required to work outside of normal business hours including weekends, holidays, and nights.
    • Employees are required to abide by certain blackout dates during a campaign cycle or other key deadlines, and generally not allowed to take off during blackout periods. Emergencies are not affected by this policy.
$63,000 - $70,000 a year
Work Environment
This position is based in our Washington, DC headquarters, which is currently remote and will have a remote option until further notice. Employees will therefore work and interact primarily in a virtual environment. Employees may be required to periodically travel to and/or work out of office locations in Washington, DC or at state offices.
